Mahdi leads the technical direction at Novilance, focusing on the architecture, reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability of the systems the team builds. He works closely with developers and product stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions and makes key architectural decisions throughout the development lifecycle. His responsibilities include designing backend services, reviewing system architecture, establishing engineering standards, and identifying potential performance and security challenges before they become problems in production. Mahdi has a strong interest in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, databases, and backend engineering, and consistently looks for ways to make complex systems simpler and more resilient. He also plays an important role in mentoring engineers, reviewing implementation decisions, and encouraging a culture where technical quality is treated as a shared responsibility. By balancing short-term delivery requirements with long-term technical considerations, he helps Novilance build products that are not only capable of launching quickly but can also continue to evolve as their users, data, and business requirements grow.
